Phone Number Authentication via Firebase Phone Auth — verifies your identity securely.

Device ID & Model To identify and manage the connected OMEX IoT devices in your account.

OS & App Version Compatibility, performance improvements and crash reporting.

Device Telemetry Voltage, current, fuel, status and alarms from your automation hardware, for monitoring.

Payment Data We do not process or store any payment information in the app.

03 — Usage

How we use your data.

Secure Authentication: Verify your identity via OTP before granting access to devices and dashboards.
Device Management: Associate devices to your account, manage remote control and show live telemetry.
Service Improvement: Analyze usage patterns to optimise firmware, UI and system performance.
Alerts & Notifications: Send alarm events — mains failure, DG fault, low battery — to the registered user.

04 — Data Sharing

We don’t sell your data. Ever.

We do not sell, trade, rent or share your personal information with third parties for any commercial purpose. Limited sharing happens only in these cases:

Infrastructure Providers: Google Firebase (authentication, database) — subject to Google’s Privacy Policy.
Legal Requirements: Only if required by applicable law, a court order or a government authority.

05 — Security

How we protect your data.

All data transmission is encrypted via TLS/SSL. Authentication uses Firebase’s secure OTP-based phone verification. Device communication runs over MQTT with TLS. We do not store plaintext credentials or sensitive tokens.

While we apply industry-standard security, no internet transmission is 100% secure. Please contact us immediately if you suspect any unauthorized access.

You’re in control.

Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data from our systems.
Withdraw Consent: Withdraw consent at any time (may affect service availability).
